I ordered the Hatch Chile medium salsa & Cantina Style medium salsa from Mateo directly and compared them to the Mateo’s Medium Gourmet salsa available from Costco. All 3 were delicious but I had a slight preference for the Hatch Chile version. My main problem now is buying or making high quality chips worthy of Mateo’s salsas. Good thing I can also put it on eggs, tacos, hamburgers, etc.

Local Safeway stopped carrying it (closeout prices were nice), so I bought online. Same great stuff! OK, maybe it could use more Hatch chiles and less garlic. But I love garlic so I don’t mind.

When you read comments, keep in mind everyone has different tastes. My family used to get Mrs Renfros mild salsa by the case. Then the company discontinued our favorite one saying people preferred various flavored salsas. We have been searching for years for another addicting salsa! We found it with Matteo’s. We now will start buying this by the case as it’s that good!! We love the mild version! Just the perfect tang and texture and taste! Wow! Don’t change a thing!!!!

My wife and I are picky about salsa. We have sampled many commercially available salsas, and keep coming back to two - Mateossalsa’s Gourmet Hatch Chile Salsa is one of them - our favorite red salsa. Absolutely superb!

I love the medium salsa, but decided to try this. I haven’t really been able to eat a lot of salsa due to onions being extremely nasty since getting COVID. But this has no onions and I can literally eat an entire bottle in one day. I wish they sold it in gallon size.
